Let Us Teach Your Elementary School Students About Native Arizona Fishes!
Sharing Tails is a formal elementary school program primarily for kindergarten through second grade as we visit kids as kindergarteners then again as first and second graders, allowing our program to build each year as the kids grow and learn!

With our state-wide program, we send pre- and post-visit materials to team leaders and then VIRTUALLY visit students and provide a fun, interactive presentation split into two sessions. Students meet a fish scientist, learn about native Arizona fishes, and gain an appreciation for our state’s unique natural resources!
Our program does not use live fish as most native Arizona fishes are threatened, endangered or Species of Concern, but rather we use pictures, videos and creative materials for kids to see and do!
Sharing Tails reinforces aspects of Arizona Science Standards (updated 2025) for kindergarten, first grade and second grade. Target standards are highlighted in blue.
Program time: Approximately 20-35 min per session depending on grade level
