Sharing Tails

Want something FUN for your elementary school kids at your school? Why not let us teach them about native Arizona fishes as an in-school field trip!!!

Kids will learn about native Arizona fishes through a fun, interactive presentation, meet a fish scientist and participate in hands-on activities, all while gaining an appreciation for our state’s unique natural resources!

Primarily for kindergarten (if this is your school’s first year with our program) as we hope to visit these kids as they move on to first and second grades, allowing our program to build each year as the kids grow and learn! Sharing Tails is a unique and exciting environmental outreach program for kindergarten, first and second grades that supports aspects of the Arizona Science Standards and Arizona’s Common Core Standards English Language Arts.

Our program does not use live fish as most Arizona fishes are threatened, endangered or Species of Concern, but rather we use pictures, videos and creative materials for kids to see and touch!
