Sharing Tails

Let Us VIRTUALLY Teach Your Elementary School Kids About Native Arizona Fishes as a In-school Field Trip!

Sharing Tails is a formal elementary school program primarily for kindergarten through second grade as we visit kids as kindergarteners then again as first and second graders, allowing our program to build each year as the kids grow and learn!

  • We send pre- and post-visit materials then VIRTUALLY teach kids about native Arizona fishes through a fun, interactive presentation where kids can meet a fish scientist and gain an appreciation for our state’s unique natural resources!
  • Our program does not use live fish as most native Arizona fishes are threatened, endangered or Species of Concern, but rather we use pictures, videos and creative materials for kids to see and do!

Virtual Sharing Tails program time: approx. 20-30 min per session

Sharing Tails reinforces aspects of Arizona Science Standards (updated 2019) for kindergarten, first grade and second grade highlighted in blue.
